Pentwyn is a 300-acre hill farm which has been in the family since 1966 and provides luxury self-catering accommodation with Pen yr Heol Barn and the intimate Old Toolshed as well as 'on the farm' camping facilities and a small CL caravan site.
Hannah and Thomas look after 625 Talybont Welsh ewes – lambing starts from around March 20 and lasts for three or four weeks and the shearing takes place in June.
The farm has been part of the Tir Gofal agri-environmental scheme since 2001, the aim of which is to farm and manage the land by protecting the environment and enhancing, restoring and creating natural habitats and landscape features.
There are several areas of broadleaf woodland and designated sites of special scientific interest (SSSIs) along side the Nant Menascin River which runs just below the Old Toolshed.
We keep horses on a DIY livery basis. If you would like to bring your horse with you on holiday feel free to contact Thomas to discuss possibilities.
